Droitwich Spa Town Council is to confer the status of Honorary Alderman on ex-Councillor Pam Davey and the status of Honorary Freeman on Alan Davey

The Town Council is set to make Pam Davey Honorary Alderman of the Town and also to make her husband Alan an Honorary Freeman of the Town.

In January the Town Council resolved to convene an Extraordinary Meeting of the Council to confer the title of Honorary Alderman upon Pam Davey in recognition of the eminent service she has rendered to the Town as an elected member of the Town Council and for her meritorious services to the town in both a civic and non-civic capacity.  In addition her husband is being recognised for his inspirational and unstinting service rendered to the people and Town of Droitwich Spa.

The meeting has been scheduled for Monday 30 April 2018 at 6pm in the Community Hall.

Councillor Noyes said:

“I have known Pam since the early 1990's and have always been impressed with her enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge.  Her attendance record and involvement in the meetings she attended bear witness to this and is second to none.  Always prepared to get involved and shoulder responsibility, Pam has been a great asset to the community and deserves this award."

Councillor Alan Humphries concurs:

“Pam and Alan have given so much to Droitwich and I’m delighted in a small way to be part of a ceremony that honours all of their hard work”.

We at the Town Council will be honouring them both in the best way we consider possible and anyone who would like to come along to this auspicious occasion is welcome to this public meeting on 30 April.  For more information please contact the Town Council Office on 01905 774258.
